Does Blackwater Verify provide a probability score?
No. Each still-image check returns a named finding (AI-generated, face-swap, or manipulated) or an inconclusive result. A finding is released only when the calibrated threshold for your use case is met. On a photo of a person, face-swap is the only finding today: AI-generated detection is not yet validated on photos of people, and a genuine photo of a person returns inconclusive. We do not publish accuracy figures yet; bring your own known-real and known-manipulated images to a demo.
Does Blackwater Verify support Content Credentials?
Yes, for images. Where C2PA Content Credentials are present, their signature and trust chain are checked and shown alongside the forensic analysis. Provenance is context: it does not by itself decide whether an image is authentic.
What is live today?
Still-image verification (supported face swaps, AI-generated images where no face is found, supported manipulation findings, and inconclusive results), C2PA checks, sealed decision records, the API, and the Customer Console. AI-generated detection on photos of people is in testing. Voice and video are in testing and return inconclusive. VerifyCall and VerifyMeeting are in development.
What does an inconclusive result mean?
The evidence did not meet the operating threshold, so no finding is released and the case should go to human review. Inconclusive is a deliberate result. It is not a statement that the image is authentic. It is also the usual result for a genuine photo of a person: finding no face swap is not evidence that a photo is genuine.
How are results integrated into customer systems?
Submit images through the REST API and receive results through HMAC-signed webhooks (case.created, analysis.completed, analysis.failed). Each decision record can be exported through the API, and your team can review every case in the Customer Console.
